Description
This role is an integral part of the Group FBP&A team, reporting to the Group FBP&A Head. Partnering with other finance and business teams across the organization in driving insights to as high as the C-levels for key decision makings.
Responsibilities:
- Management reporting and analysis
- Contribute to and support in the regular and ad-hoc management reporting process and provide in-depth analysis on business performance, cost drivers, impact of different accounting treatments and any critical events or policies that impact finance and business operations, including creating presentation to different relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to developing and continuously improving management reporting process both for internal and external stakeholders, including maintaining reliability of information in the source of truth used by the team to generate reports and analysis (FP&A Solution tools).
- Perform market monitoring on how the company is performing compared to peers, both locally and globally based on market data available.
- Business Planning (Budgeting & Forecasting)
- Support business planning activities i.e financial models, ensuring accuracy of historical data used as projection basis while building good understanding of unit economics, both on group and legal entity level.
- Perform monthly actual vs. budget analysis (financial and operational KPIs), identify drivers for any variance and propose insights for corrective action where necessary.
- Business Partnering
- Working closely with various business units (e.g: Growth, Funding, Compliance, Risk etc) by performing analysis and providing insight to support business initiatives.
- Support the process of analysis and insight generation of relevant operational and financial metrics (e.g. GMV, financial covenants, etc.) on a regular basis.
- Assist in corporate finance initiatives including fundraising, M&A, due diligence, etc as well as supporting investor relations in answering questions around company data and metrics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Big 4 Transaction Advisory Services, FP&A or Strategic Finance at a high-growth company.
- Not required but serves as a plus:
- CFA Charterholder or Passed CFA exam at any level (1,2,3)
- Prior exposure to financial services company
- Proficient in performing analysis using Microsoft Excel and building presentation using Microsoft Powerpoint.
- Strong analytical thinking, particularly in financial and business analysis, able to dive deep to available data and translate those to meaningful insights.
- Having basic accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
- Attention to detail, strong business acumen with sound decision-making qualities. Comfortable in working and crunching data and numbers.
- A proactive, hands-on, good team player with excellent communication skill comfortable working in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Good command of both written and spoken English is a must.
- Knowledge and skills in writing SQL query is a plus, not required, but if you do not possess the knowledge and skills, willing to learn and attend courses for writing SQL query.
