We are seeking a highly skilled Head/Lead of Risk to play a key role in shaping and managing risk strategies and frameworks in Digital Financial Services Provider. This position focuses on ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory compliance while leveraging data-driven insights to enhance portfolio performance, mitigate risks, and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks, KPIs, and reporting standards specific to financial lending products.
  • Monitor credit risk metrics covering underwriting, fraud and portfolio performance. Proactively identifying potential risks and designing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving portfolio quality.
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of credit risk models, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Collections, Product, and Data Science to create and refine cohesive risk management strategies and initiatives.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze risk data to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in credit risk management within financial lending, focusing on personal loans, credit card, SME loans, or other related lending products.
  • Having managerial experience with a focus on collaboration and mentorship.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with expertise in statistical analysis, credit risk modeling, and portfolio management.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and proficiency in Excel are required. In addition, mastery in other database management software will be highly appreciated.
  • Strong analytical skills as proven from previous projects.
  • Proven ability to adapt and innovate in response to rapidly changing business environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A results-driven mindset, thriving in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
  • Fluency in English is a must
