About the Platform Engineering Team
At Kredivo, we believe that great engineering is built on great foundations. Our Platform Engineering Team is responsible for building frameworks, tools, and platforms that enable engineers to ship faster, build reliably, and scale efficiently.
As an engineering manager, you will lead and grow a team of 5–7 engineers, driving technical vision, strategy, and execution for developer experience, automation, and platform scalability.
You will:
- Develop and maintain internal frameworks, SDKs, and reusable components to streamline development across teams.
- Enhance developer experience (DevEx) by building self-service tooling, automation, and infrastructure improvements.
- Maintain Kredivo’s Tech Radar, evaluating new technologies, running PoCs, and guiding adoption.
- Standardize engineering best practices—API design, microservices, CI/CD, and performance tuning.
- Partner with backend, mobile, data, and security teams to drive organization-wide technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with DevOps to optimise CI/CD and cloud cost- efficiency while ensuring scalable infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and grow a high-performing team: own hiring, mentorship, and career growth for 5–7 engineers.
- Define and execute the platform strategy: aligning engineering efficiency goals with business needs.
- Drive the end-to-end development process: from planning to production, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Provide technical leadership: set best practices for microservices, DevEx, CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native development.
- Ensure engineering excellence: champion reliability, security, performance, and developer productivity across the org.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: work with backend, mobile, DevOps, and SRE teams to drive platform adoption.
- Own and scale Kredivo’s Tech Radar: assesses emerging technologies, conducts Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs), and drives technology adoption across the org.
- Influence architectural direction: make key technology decisions to scale platform capabilities.
- Drive operational excellence: monitor reliability, incident management, and on-call best practices for platform services.
- Actively participate in hiring: improving the onboarding and retention of new engineers.
- 10+ years of total experience, with 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams in high-growth companies.
- Proven leadership in platform engineering, DevEx, or SRE teams, driving org-wide impact.
- Passionate about coaching & team development—building strong engineering cultures.
- Experience defining and executing platform strategies, balancing engineering efficiency and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with backend technologies.
- Strong expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven platforms.
- Deep understanding of DevEx, observability, and cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent stakeholder management & communication skills—ability to align across teams and leadership.
- Experience leading Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, or SRE teams.
- Experience optimizing cloud costs and improving deployment efficiencies.
- Experience driving large-scale platform initiatives—standardization, automation, and process improvements
